Junior Program Description

 

Summer & Winter Programs

 

Red Ball Tennis: 8 years and under, plays on smaller courts with small rackets and lower compression balls. Players develop the basic core skills of catching, throwing, hitting and movement. 

Orange Ball Tennis: 8 and 9 year olds. They play on a larger court using balls that are slightly faster than red ball. Players enjoy engaging in competitive games and work on technical and athletic skills. 

Green Ball Tennis: 10 to 11 year olds. Play is on full size courts, with full size rackets and balls a little softer than yellow balls. Players work on technical, tactical and physical skills.

 

Yellow Ball Tennis: 12 and over. Play on full size courts with standard yellow balls. It's the final stage of development prior to joining the adults, players are now ready to play in tournaments.
